Two extraordinary Marshall Apprentices were recognised at the Cambridge Apprenticeship Awards

Congratulations to Marshall Apprentices Alex Norton and Morgan Reid for receiving highly commended awards at the Cambridgeshire Apprentice Awards Ceremony in Huntingdon on the 8th of February 2023.

Alex Norton was recognised for his significant progress in the Personal Achievement category. The judges were impressed with Alex’s tenacity and resilience. The team at Marshall are proud of Alex’s achievements, and it is a privilege to support him through his learning journey.

Aerospace Apprenticeship coordinator Georgie Scott-Wilds said, “Alex has come the furthest in terms of personal growth among his peers throughout his apprenticeship. He always supports his colleagues and is thriving in a team environment.”

Morgan Reid received a highly commended award in the Foundation Achiever category. This award recognises individuals who have used a level two or three apprenticeship to commence, change or boost their career. Morgan is working towards his level three engineering technician apprenticeship, which will allow him to become a qualified aircraft fitter and set him up for an exciting career in aerospace. The judges were impressed by Morgan’s outstanding commitment to his apprenticeship and by his integrity.

Morgan’s manager, Andy Doughty (Senior Technician), commented, “Morgan has recently come onto my team after being identified as having a great work ethic, excellent hand skills and most importantly, a desire to learn from the people he works with. He is already a great addition to the team, pushing for new experiences and has slotted in as if he has been with us for a long time. Morgan should be proud of this award, and I am looking forward to seeing him grow through his career at Marshall.”
